Combined with nutrient-rich carrier oils and pure 99.7% Hemp Extract Fire & Ice is timeless, natural, and an effective relief for those days when our bodies need a little extra love.

Beginning with our carrier oil blend, Refined Hemp Seed oil rich in essential fatty acids is a popular remedy for inflammation and treating certain skin conditions. According to recent studies, Omega 3 in particular helps with inflammation and certain auto-immune disorders.

Apricot Kernel Oil is also rich in essential fatty acids and is prized for its high Vitamin A, C and E content. It has also been known to help calm inflammation and skin irritation due to conditions such as Psoriasis and Eczema.

MCT Coconut oil is rapidly absorbed through the skin making it an ideal carrier oil. Along with having many anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties, MCT Coconut oil perfectly rounds our our carrier oil formula.

Before we move onto our essential oil blend, we will touch on another special ingredient -Menthol Crystals. Menthol Crystals are created by freezing an essential oil derived from a specific species of mint (typically but not always Japanese Peppermint which contains the highest amounts of menthol of all the mint species). Used medicinally, the crystals work to address aches, pains, cramps, sprains and irritation. By activating the body’s receptors that are sensitive to cold temperatures, Menthol Crystals contribute a cooling sensation when applied topically. They also exhibit anti-spasmodic properties that help relax muscles. Our proprietary essential oil blend was designed to provide relief through the taming of inflammation. Each essential oil contains a host of beneficial properties, we’ve outlined a few:

Wintergreen – The main active ingredient is Methyl Salicylate (closely related to Aspirin), contains anti-inflammatory properties.

A 2010 study in adults with muscle strain found an application of both oil of Wintergreen and Menthol provided a significant amount of pain relief.

Cinnamon Leaf – Contains at least 80% phenols which are organic aromatic compounds with a variety of antiseptic, anti-microbrial, antioxidant and anaesthetic healing properties.

Cinnamon Leaf Oil is also know to reduce inflammation and relieves muscle aches and spasms, sprains, and discomfort caused by Rheumatism and Arthritis.

Lavender – Is a well known effective anti-inflammatory. Lavender is commonly used for anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, depression, headaches and pain. It has a sedating effect that could relax certain muscles.

Japanese Peppermint – Contains up to 95% menthol, the highest amount in the mint family. As such, it is a very effective pain-killer. It is said to promote circulation in the area of the body where it is applied which is beneficial for chronic pain sufferers.

Eucalyptus – Several compounds in Eucalyptus have been shown to reduce inflammation, swelling and pain. People with Rheumatoid Arthritis have found relief with using Eucalyptus oil.

Frankincense – Has natural anti-inflammatory properties and has been used for centuries to help reduce inflammation, pain and stiffness. Also known as Olibanum oil, Frankincense was used historically for soothing inflammation and to heal wounds.
